Lady Dukes drop two on the court

The Gloucester High School varsity girls’ basketball team had a tough week, falling to both Warwick and Menchville high schools.
The Lady Dukes hosted Warwick last Thursday and lost to the Lady Raiders, 57-29. Autumn Cookson was the top scorer for Gloucester with 14 points. Other scorers for Gloucester include Rylie Williams with nine points, followed by Kate Vannoy with four and Rylee Amaral with two. In rebounds, Aaliyah Smith-Boone achieved six, followed by Vannoy and Williams with five each, Cookson with four and Amaral, Alexis Dishman, Alyssa Wilson and Chloe Davis with one apiece.
Smith-Boone also had the most assists with four, followed by Vannoy, Amaral and Jodi Brown with one each. Cookson had the most steals with eight, followed by Alesha Williams, Dishman and Smith-Boone with one each. In blocks, Rylie Williams had two and Smith-Boone had one.
