The Gloucester High School varsity girls’ basketball team defeated the Kecoughtan Warriors, 42-20, last Thursday at home.
Autumn Cookson led Gloucester in scoring with a total of 19 points, followed by Rylie Williams with 14 points. Other scorers for Gloucester were Kate Vannoy with six points, Rylee Amaral with two points and Alesha Williams with one.
Vannoy led the Lady Dukes in rebounds with 14, followed by Avery Watkins with 10, Rylie Williams with seven, Amaral with five, Cookson with three and Alexis Dishman with one.
In steals, Cookson had five, Watkins and Amaral had four each, Vannoy had two, and Alesha Williams and Rylie Williams had one apiece. Watkins also had four assists, followed by Amaral and Alesha Williams with two each, and Vannoy and Cookson with one apiece. Rylie Williams was also recorded as having two blocks.
