Lady Dukes beat Denbigh

The Gloucester High School varsity girls’ basketball team defeated Denbigh on the road last Thursday, 34-17.
Rylie Williams and Rylee Amaral were top scorers for Gloucester, ending the game with nine points each. Autumn Cookson scored eight points, followed by Kate Vannoy with six and Avery Watkins with two. In rebounds, Vannoy had the most with 14, followed by Amaral with seven, Rylie Williams with six, Cookson and Watkins with four each, Alexis Dishman with two and Alesha Williams with one.
Watkins had the most assists with three, followed by Dishman, Alesha Williams and Rylie Williams with one apiece. In steals, Cookson had the most with seven, followed by Amaral with six, Watkins with four, Rylie Williams with two and Dishman with one. Vannoy, Cookson and Rylie Williams also had one block apiece.
The Gloucester High School varsity boys’ basketball team also played Denbigh Thursday night, falling to the Patriots, 103-23.
