There has been some alarm in the community during the past week over the outbreak of several cases of diphtheria. Miss Linwood Stubbs’s room at Botetourt was closed last Thursday when it was discovered that there were some suspicious cases among the pupils, and Monday all the lower rooms of the school were closed.
