The Catholic community of the Church of Francis de Sales, Mathews, hosted the third annual Ladies’ Tea Luncheon on Saturday, April 15. More than 70 attendees were present for a talk given by Kim Forslund from “Ladies Victorian and Beyond—Costumes and Customs of an Earlier America” (below). Her presentation included the history of tea in America as well as a detailed list of etiquette regarding proper manners and tea drinking technique. A menu prepared by the women of the parish included tea sandwiches, scones and desserts, served by the men of Francis de Sales.
