The Virginia Department of Transportation has announced its plans to close Route 614, Rock Spring Road, in King and Queen County on Monday, to replace the bridge and repair culverts. Reopening is expected by December, VDOT said. Culverts will be replaced, then the 1965 bridge, eliminating present weight restrictions. Detours will be posted. VDOT said average daily traffic is 130 vehicles.
