Koala Bean coffee shop holds soft opening in advance of ribbon cutting Saturday

Koala Bean, the new coffee shop in the York Crossing Shopping Center, Hayes, had its soft opening this past Saturday and will hold its grand opening this coming Saturday. The business will have an official ribbon cutting for its location at 9 a.m.
“I feel great” (about the location opening Saturday), said owner Bryan Enriquez. “After having the soft opening, I am confident now to make some changes and keep producing good products for the company.”
The purpose of the soft opening, according to Enriquez, is to “figure out what we need to fix” prior to Saturday’s grand opening, and is “open to customers’ feedback so we can improve.”
Enriquez said that during the soft opening customers not only liked the coffee but also “people loved the bagels” and agreed that “the bagels were a hit.”
Owners are Bryan Enriquez and Marilyn Bradford. Bradford’s husband, Mark Bradford, also helps with the location and built almost everything in the new store. The manager of the location is Curtis Smith.
