The Knights of the Gloucester Youth Football and Cheer League took on the Williamsburg Hornets last Saturday.The Mighty Mites endured the pouring rain but were unable to endure the Hornets, falling 26-6. Head coach Damion Stokes said the offense was led by Durrell Daisy who rushed for 35 yards on six carries. Other contributors on offense were Caleb Beyer, Jaxon Willet and Tyrell Daisy.
The MVP on defense was Tyrell Daisy who recorded 8 tackles. Durrell Daisy, Caleb Beyer, Alijah Pluim, Davant Banks, Even Davenport, Isaiah Davenport, Cam Pluim, Jo Jo Overstreet and Brayden Bonniville also were key contributors on defense.
Cheerleaders
The Minis cheerleader named Most Spirited was Abigail Green. Imani Otis was named the Mites’ Most Spirited cheerleader, while Alexis Smith won the honor for the Mighty Mites and Emma Specht was named the Midgets’ Most Spirited cheerleader.
