The Gloucester Youth Football and Cheer League Knights 10U team lost to the Williamsburg Hornets, 27-0, over the weekend.
Offensively, Jay Stokes had 12 carries for 23 yards; Jacob Bloom had eight carries for 15 yards; and Trace Mathews had two carries and four pass attempts.
On the defensive side, Stokes had five tackles and two tackles for loss; Bloom had eight tackles; Zayden Pluim had six tackles; Tahj Stokes, Mathews and Azaih Pluim had three tackles each; Joshua Berry and Nathan Jenkins had two tackles apiece; and Chris Coats caused six snaps to be fumbled.
Dalila Thompson was named most spirited and Kylie Ostellino had the best technique for the 6U and 8U cheer teams. For 10U, 12U and 14U cheer, Violet Quickel was named most spirited and Sophia Morrice had the best technique.
