The Gloucester Youth Football and Cheer League Knights 8U, 10U and 12U teams all fell to the Williamsburg Hornets over the weekend.
In a closely fought game, the 12U Knights fell to the Hornets, 26-20. Tyrell Daisy had 191 rushing yards for three touchdowns and 67 passing yards for one touchdown. He was named the Knights offensive most valuable player. Also on offense was Caiden Baumgartner who had 37 receiving yards for one touchdown. On defense, Jacob Lewis had four sacks and was named defensive MVP.
The 10U Knights lost to the Hornets, 19-7. Matthew “Trace” Rasmussen III was named offensive MVP, while Dominique Randolph was named defensive MVP.
The 8U Knights also lost to the Hornets, 24-0. Michael Smith was named the offensive MVP and Liam Honeycutt was named the defensive MVP.
