The 2018 Mathews Market Days Home Goods Competition will be held at Kingston Episcopal Parish House, 370 Main Street. Competition is open to anyone with a Mathews County mailing address.
This year’s categories are: Crochet (afghans, wearing apparel), Embroidery (counted work, surface work), Food (pies, cookies, jams, jellies), Knitting (afghans, wearing apparel), Photography (portraits, landscapes), Quilting (bed quilts, wall hangings, table runners), Sewing (aprons), and Woodworking (decorative items; not furniture).
A registration form will need to accompany each entry. The form is located on the Mathews Market Days’ website and on Facebook and may be printed from there. Forms will also be at the Mathews County Visitor and Information Center.
This year, there will be a special class for youth (ages 6-15) to compete in the following categories:
Food—cookies; Sewing—aprons; Embroidery—all types (not including machine embroidery); and Photograph...
