The Chesapeake Bay Circle of The King’s Daughters and Sons met on Feb. 27 to celebrate its 23rd birthday. Members were encouraged to dress in black to represent the original 10 ladies who organized the order in 1886. Those in attendance were, from left, Betty Brown, Nancy Layng, Debbie Hancock, Marcia Fry, Sandy Pace, Virginia Branch president of the KD&S and Nancy Hudgins. Pace and Faye Hutchinson, not pictured, a Chesapeake charter member, spoke about the many objectives of the KD&S.
