The King and Queen County Sheriff’s Office will participate in National Night Out on two dates in August. This is a national movement that lets law enforcement officers mingle and get to know their community.
“This event helps the community see that law enforcement officers are humans and far more than just a uniform,” Sgt. B.M. Radden said.
On Aug. 1, the event will be held from 6-8 p.m. in the southern end of the county (Aug. 3 rain date). On Aug. 8, National Night Out will be held those same hours in the northern end of the county (Aug. 10 rain date). Event locations have yet to be determined.
Participants are invited to set up booths, and donations are also sought. For updated information, including the event locations, visit the King and Queen County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
