Kindergarten registration is underway at Mathews Elementary School, according to MES principal Lee Anne Bray.Registration packets have been available since April 7, and a kindergarten camp will be held at the school from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27. All rising kindergarteners are invited to attend; registration packets should be returned on or before Friday to register for the camp.
“Right now, we are just trying to find families with rising kindergarten students, and get them to go ahead and register their child for kindergarten,” Bray said. “Once the student is registered, they will automatically be signed up for kindergarten camp.”
At the camp, parents and students will get to meet the teachers, principal and kindergarten screeners, take part in fun activities, tour the school, bus and cafeteria and take part in a parent information session.
