A free open mic and tours of artist Alvaro Ibañez’s studio will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, at Surreal Arizona Gallery, 199 Whitaker Lane, Kilmarnock.
Ibañez, his wife Denise DeVries, and their family welcome the public to attend and hear a reading by Essex County poet Ed Haile, who will read from his “Collected Poems.” Light refreshments will be provided.

Edward Wright Haile is the author of “Jamestown Narratives,” a collection of first-hand accounts of England’s colony in the first decade, as well as of “John Smith in the Chesapeake,” an examination of the itinerary of the explorer captain. His four volumes of verse include “Open, Not Glass”; “Here on a Mission, odes and lyrics”; “Where None Before Hath Stood”; and his latest, “Virginia Leaf.” His books will be available for purchase at the gallery reception.
