Kilmarnock gallery to hold tours, open reading

Surreal Arizona Gallery and A-Ibañez Museum will hold its free monthly studio this Sunday, from 2-5 p.m., at 199 Whittaker Lane, Kilmarnock. The facility, near Hughlett Point Natural Area in Reedville, has three buildings full of works on canvas and paper. Artist Alvaro Ibañez said, “if you’re looking for traditional art, this is not the place.” His wife Denise DeVries said, “instead, you can see Arizona colors and saguaro cacti.”
Writers are invited to read their poetry, essays and short fiction in English or Spanish starting at 3.
This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Find out more at www.facebook.com/AIMKilmarnock or contact Denise at deniseadevries@gmail.com.
