Gloucester Daffodil Club members and former club president Carla Stanley led a Kids Daffodil Workshop at the Bay School Community Art Center on Sunday. Area children, including Amelia Sosa, kneeling in the photo, and Madeline Little, were told about the history of daffodils in Mathews and Gloucester, the different types and parts of daffodils, and how to plant daffodils. The afternoon included planting more than 200 daffodil bulbs at the Bay School. The Gloucester Daffodil Club has seven more plantings scheduled for the year (6,250 bulbs) that will include locations at several area businesses, Woodville School, Peasley Middle School, and the Sanders Retirement Village.
