Kevin E. Gallagher, 72, of Moon, Virginia, native of Long Island, New York, died on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.

He worked for Mathews County Public Schools Transportation Department. Prior to that, he worked for Dobe Run in Saluda. Kevin retired from B&S Aircraft Alloys of Long Island in 2014 and was a longtime employee of Fortunoff’s Department stores.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Margaret “Peggy” E. Gallagher; son, James E. Gallagher; daughter, Megan E. Cipriano; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 5, at Salem United Methodist Church, 1099 Salem Church Road, Mathews, at 1:30 p.m. Refreshments to follow.
