Kenneth Healy Hudgins, 86, of New Point, Va., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Rappahannock General Hospital.

He was a retired tug boat captain from Allied Towing Company, and was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George C. and Eunice “Miss Vedie” Hudgins; two sisters, and one brother.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret P. Hudgins; three children, Karen Lord, Susan Gay Otey, and Kenneth H. Hudgins Jr.; two grandchildren, Jessie and Kenny Bowmer, and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at 7 p.m. in Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va. Visitation followed the service. Burial will be private.
