Keeping it lively at Blakes

Around Blakes, the young people of this place gave a very delightful entertainment at the Chapel Lodge, I.O.O.F., on last Tuesday evening. Quite a large crowd was present.
On Thursday evening the young people of Cobbs Creek gave a similar entertainment at the same place, which was greatly enjoyed by the large number of persons assembled.
After three weeks of drought, we were really pleased to see it rain again.

The Senior Class of Cobbs Creek High School staged a play called “His Best Investment,” at Gloucester C.H. on Monday night.
Miss Mary Kirkpatrick, one of our High School teachers, is on the sick list.
Mr. Willie Thompson has purchased a Star Touring car from Cobbs Creek Garage.
Mr. Charlie Ramble has purchased a new Star Coupe.
Two of our young sports were seen out riding Sunday afternoon with two pretty girls from Hudgins.
