Kay Francis Ailstock, 72, of Gloucester, died April 15, 2012 at Riverside Rehabilitation Institute.
Kay was born in Greenbriar County, W.Va., and was a retired school bus driver. She was a kind and loving person, and her family was the center of her life. She was always willing to help others, and will be remembered for her compassion and thoughtfulness to everyone she knew.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Rodney and Jerry Wayne, and sister, Helen.
She is survived by son, Joe Ailstock and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Joey, Brooke and RosaLea Kay Ailstock; great-grandchild, Camden Forest; brothers, Mike, Ronald and Burton Ripley; sister, Faye Ailstock; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home, 213 Main Street, Rainell, W.Va. 25962. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 1-2 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home.
Memorial services officiated by Pastor Robbie Brunjes will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at Gloucester Church of Christ, 2432 Hayes Road, Hayes.
