Kathryn Pyle Hickman, 89, of Mathews, Va., passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012.

She was born in Bristol, Tenn., to Nannie Kate and Frederick Walthrop Pyle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. William Park Hickman.

From her marriage to Wayne Carr Clark, she is survived by her two children, Charles Clark and his wife Kathy, and Rebecca Clark Garrett and her husband Kenny. She enjoyed seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne Collins, Miriam Mae Frost, Wayne David Clark, William Frederick Clark, Michael Charles Clark, Jack Edward Clark, and Ruth Kathryn Clark. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, Shannon Drew Collins, Aaron Everett James, Savannah Laura Collins, Ethan Alexander Frost, Lydia Jean Frost, Brandon Carr Clark, Michael Charles Clark Jr., Scarlet Magnolia Clark, and Aria Marie Clark. Preceding her in death is one great-grandchild, Darcy Blair Williams.

She is greatly loved and missed by her family.
