Katherine Elizabeth Sherwood, 95, of Gloucester, passed away Aug. 6, 2014.

Mrs. Sherwood was family oriented and loved to cook, sew and enjoyed crafts. She was an animal lover and her favorite pet was Clancy. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Clayton Sherwood and parents, Henry Clay and Bertha Sanford Crawford.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Femiani and husband Joseph; son, Clayton Sherwood and wife Leigh; grandchildren, Kathy Betancourt, Paul Femiani, Maria Sherwood and Edward Sherwood; great-grandchildren, Brenda Betancourt and Maggie Betancourt.

A memorial service conducted by the Rev. Bill West will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Private inurnment will be at a later date in Hampton National Cemetery.
