The Mathews High School JV volleyball team won in straight sets Tuesday night, beating the visiting King and Queen Tigers by scores of 25-5 and 25-10. The JV girls also beat Northampton on the road two games to none.

The JV Lady Devils kept their win streak going on Tuesday against the Tigers. Natalie Davis started things off for Mathews as the first server, earning two aces. Delaney Boatman, Mya Schroeder and Harmony Smith also served aces in the first set. Carter Hayes got a block which sent the crowd wild. Emily Ward got two kills, one of which was the last point to win the set.
In the second set, the Lady Tigers decided to fight back. This time, both teams were fighting for the point and the ball. With many kills and aces and a lot of effort, Mathews pulled out the win.
