The Gloucester Dukes JV Field Hockey team won in an away game against the Western Branch Bruins, 5-2, on Friday, Aug. 30.
In the first half, the JV Dukes started off strong with three goals. Two goals were scored by Kenleigh Hall and the other being from Jenna Seaton.
In the second half, the JV Dukes’ Dani Burgess and Colbie Russ scored two more goals to secure the win.
Clippers
The JV Dukes returned to play last Thursday in an away game against the Grafton Clippers. The JV Dukes shut out the Warriors, 7-0.
The JV Dukes started the first half off strong with four goals. Jenna Seaton scored one goal, Kenleigh Hall scored two goals, and Ryleigh Beddingfield scored one goal.
In the second half, the JV Dukes scored three more goals leaving the score 7-0. Lacey Carpenter and Seaton scored goals and Hall completed her hat trick.
The jayvees were scheduled to face the Trinity Episcopal Titans yesterday at home.
