The Lancaster Virginia Historical Society will host a musical program, “American Traditions: A Sampler of Three Centuries of Historical Folk Songs, Ballads, and Dance Tunes,” by the group Ampersand at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, at Lebanon Baptist Church, 20 Alfonso Road, Lancaster.
A $10 cash admission fee is requested at the door to benefit LVHS and offset event costs. Families are welcome and children will be admitted free with an adult.
Ampersand, comprised of core members Beth Lawton and Dick Hogle plus Topher Lawton and Dave Moore, performs American folk and historical music with vocal harmonies and a variety of traditional string instruments such as guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass, cello, and hammered dulcimer.
