Joyce Ann Samick White, 73, of King and Queen Court House, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012.

Joyce was the youngest of five children of Leo and Agnes Samick of St. Mary’s, Pa. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Leo, Howard and Kenneth Samick; her nephews, Wickle, John and Scott Samick, and Raymond Frey.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ralph White; two daughters, Marjorie White and her husband Matthew Koenig of Aydlett, N.C., and Susan Wass and her husband Barry of Gloucester, Va.; two grandchildren, Aaron and Karsyn Wass; a sister, Delores Frey and her husband Joe of St. Mary’s, Pa., and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, 708 North Church Lane, Tappahannock, Va.  Inurnment of ashes will follow in the Father Dollard Memorial Garden Columbarium located on the church grounds.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Peninsula Cancer Institute, 7544 Medical Drive, Gloucester, Va. 23061, the American Cancer Society, or Riverside Hospice, 7358 Main Street, Gloucester, Va. 23061.
