Joyce Ann Jessen, age 66, of Gloucester, died at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 4, 2024. She had very firm beliefs and was always candid in her view. She loved her family and had a giving heart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Bennett and Peggy Ann Jenkins Leggett, and siblings, Thomas Earl Leggett and Yvonne Leggett. Survivors include husband of 50 years, Freddie Jessen; two daughters, Angela Isaksen and husband Michael, Shana Fields and husband Brian; grandchildren, Haley, Bailey, Grace, Mason, Caitlyn, Bennett, and Lydia; and one great-granddaughter, Sky; brother, Jack Leggett; sister, Sharon Leggett, and her best friend, Laura Grant. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 11-11:45 a.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, followed by a chapel service at noon. The inurnment will be private. The family would like to express a special thank-you to Riverside Walter Reed Hospice for their compassion and love during this time.
