John T. “JT” Oliver Sr. of Gloucester, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024. He was born in Richmond, Va., and was the son of the late Thomas and Nannie Lee Milby Oliver. He was a member of Petsworth Baptist Church and was an honorary member of J.W. Lilly Hunt Club. He was employed at Blake’s Septic Service for 42 years. He loved his family, hunting, fishing, and gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dale Oliver; son, John T. Oliver Jr. (Christi); daughter, Michelle Robbins (Eddie); grandchildren, Andrew Oliver, Lauren Denson, Macy Young, Nick Robbins, Olivia Robbins, and Peyton Robbins, and his great-grandchildren, Nathan, Tanner, Brody, Bennett, and Silas.

A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Petsworth Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. There was a reception following the service at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Petsworth Baptist Church. Andrews Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
