John Sears King, 83, of Hayes, Va., passed away on July 10, 2012 peacefully from his fight with cancer.

He was the son of the late John Henry and Isabelle Bonniville King.

He is survived by his three children, Bruce (Hope), Barry, and Bonnie K. Gold (Rusty), all from Richmond, Va.; a brother, Joseph King (Francis) of Hayes; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special friends.

He was a Navy veteran and served during the Korean War.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Gloucester Point Cemetery.
