A Celebration of Life service for John Martin Banfiel, 52, of Hayes, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at Achilles Friends Church. He died Monday, Aug. 18, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his father, William R. Banfiel, and two brothers, William and James Banfiel.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Cindy; two sons, Roland and Robert Banfiel; his mother, Doris Etheleen Banfiel; sisters, Diane L. Falin and Ruth B. Farries, and a granddaughter.

The service will be conducted by the Rev. John Downs. Inurnment will be private.
