John Henry Pryor Jr. was born April 30, 1930 to the late John H. Sr. and Louise Young Pryor. He departed this life on Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, at the Walter Reed Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Laura Pryor; two daughters, Deborah Jones (Robert) and Vanessa Pryor; four sons, John W. Pryor Sr. (Darlene), Brian Pryor (Donna), Vincent Pryor (Pamela) and Kenneth Pryor; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Pryor and Phyllis Morris (Charles); 11 sisters-in-law; seven brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service was held Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at the New Mount Zion Baptist Church, Woods Cross Roads. The interment was in the church cemetery with military rites.
