Mathews author John Atkinson has released two new books as Amazon Kindle editions.
“Meet Dr. Kingsnake” is about Atkinson’s struggle with illiteracy, a struggle he characterizes as a battle with Mr. Worrisome T. Wicked—a monster that was “forever threatening to take away any and all joy reading can bring to one’s life.”
“Road Redemption: Letters from Life’s Journey” is a memoir that recounts some of Atkinson’s adventures as he hitchhiked around the country alone in the 1950s and ’60s. 
Atkinson also shares stories of his childhood and of a man named Frank, who taught him to fight “tooth and claw for a place at the table.” The books are available at amazon.com.
