Jeanne Elizabeth Layton Koenig, 85, of Milford, Del., passed away on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Del.

A native of Cartersville, Ga., she lived most of her adult life in New York before retiring to Delaware with her husband, John J. Koenig of Milford.

She is survived by her husband and four sons, John R. Koenig of Barrington, R.I., George J. Koenig of Milford, James L. Koenig of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Charles E. Koenig of Mathews; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral was held at Berry-Short Funeral Home on Sunday, with burial Wednesday at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
