Jeanne Ann Oberg Granniss, 82, formerly of Newtown, Conn., passed away on July 27, 2014 in Gloucester Point, Va.

Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Doreen “Bunny” Ekdahl and husband Matthew of Gloucester Point, and son, Darren Granniss of Apex, N.C.

She was preceded in death by husband, Kendall Granniss; brother, Charles Strobel, and sister, Gerri Cornell.

A memorial service will take place at the Newtown United Methodist Church, 92 Church Hill Road, Sandy Hook, Conn., on Sept. 27, 2014 at 11 a.m.

Contributions in memory of Jeanne may be given to Riverside Walter Reed Hospice, 7358 Main Street, Gloucester, Va. 23061.
