Jeanette Louella Olekszyk, 74, of Gloucester, passed away at her home Nov. 13, 2014.

Jeanette was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church and retired from Chesapeake Bay Magazine as Circulation Director. She was a strong compassionate, loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed reading, quilting, needlepoint and cross stitch. We will miss seeing her, but her spirit will live in us forever.

Jeanette is survived by her husband of 53 years, Philip Olekszyk; daughter, Elizabeth Anne Stallings and husband Mark; son, Steven Richard Olekszyk and wife Pam; three grandchildren, Michael Shaughnessy, Riley and Kyle Olekszyk, and brother, Arnold Williams.

A funeral mass conducted by the Rev. James Cowles was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at St. Therese Catholic Church. The family received friends Friday, Nov. 14 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
