Jean Edwards Crosby of Mathews, passed away on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, in Riverside Regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warner and Sylvia Edwards.

She is survived by two sons, John H. Crosby IV and wife Sue of Ashburn, Va., and David Neil Crosby and wife Holly of Greensboro, N.C.; five grandsons, Cooper Crosby, Samuel Crosby, Reilly Crosby, Jack Crosby and Evan Broughton; one granddaughter, Abigail Broughton; two sisters, Diane Bing (Paul) of Mathews, and Suzanne Woodson (Bruce) of Gloucester, and three brothers, James W. Edwards of Tabb, Mark C. Edwards (Tara) of Mooresville, N.C., and Neal V. Edwards (Renee) of Mathews.

Graveside services will be held in H.C. Smither Memorial Cemetery, Hudgins, Va., at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mathews Vol. Fire Dept., Box 1130, Mathews, Va. 23109 and Mathews Vol. Rescue Squad, Box 723, Mathews, Va. 23109.

Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, is in charge of the arrangements.
