Janis Forrest West, age 76, of Hayes, died on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Janis was born on January 17, 1949, to the late Marshall and Belva Callis Forrest. Janis retired from the Commissioner of Revenue’s office. In addition to her parents, Janis was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Leroy West. Janis is survived by her children, Aaron West (Wendy), Amy Marie West, Jennifer Wilton and grandchildren, Alexander Hanna, Chesapeake West, Emily West and Olivia Wilton. Sister, Goldie West (Jimmy) and brother, Marshall Forrest Jr. (Pam) also survive her. Janis was also known to be an amazing mother and grandmother. A graveside service conducted by the Rev. Richard Croxton was held on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Rosewell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home.
