Janie Belle Freeman Jarvis, 71, of Hayes, departed this life on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Milton Jarvis Sr.; daughter, Diane Green; parents and siblings.

Her memory will be cherished by sons, William Walker (Valerie), Anthony Leon Walker, Larry Eugene Walker and daughter, Nancy Lynn Walker; step-son, Harold Milton Jarvis Jr.; grandchildren, Shaliesa Walker, Larry Walker Jr., Melecea Smith, Brandon Beam, Avery Walker; step-grandson, Gavin Jarvis.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at Shiloh Baptist Church, Yorktown. Following the repast at the church, there will be a burial at Windsor Gardens Cemetery, Dutton. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at the Knight Funeral Home, Mathews.
