James Lloyd White, 77, of Gloucester, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014.
He was born in Princess Anne County to the late Woodrow W. and India Bonney White. Jimmy retired from Dominion Power after 37½ years of service where he was Director of Operations for the Gloucester office.
He was a member of Nimmo United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach, an associate member of Singleton United Methodist Church, Gloucester and also St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Ocala, Fla., the United Methodist Men of Singleton and St. Paul’s, and the XYZ Club of Bellamy United Methodist Church, Gloucester Moose Lodge, and the Goldwing Road Riders Association, Chapter C, and the Gloucester Hardee’s Lunch Bunch. Jimmy was a private pilot and he loved to hunt and fish and especially being with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Irene White; sister, Elizabeth Dolly Weaver and her husband Bob; brother, Fred White and his wife Judy; two nieces and one nephew.
The family received friends at Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, from 4-5:30 p.m. Funeral services were held on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at 1 p.m. in Singleton United Methodist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
