James Leslie Ramsey, 71, of Georgetown, Ky., passed away Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Ky.

Born Aug. 30, 1943 in South Williamson, Ky., he was a son of the late Coleman Leslie and Julie Fannin Ramsey. He had been an account specialist for Kentucky Utilities and was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.

His survivors include his wife, Linda McElroy Ramsey, a son, James Ramsey Jr. of Lexington; two daughters, Cynthia Groff of Niantic, Conn., Katie Steffen of Georgetown, and four brothers, Jack (Arlene) Ramsey of Gloucester, Jerry Ramsey of Waynesboro, Dan (Linda) Ramsey of Staunton and Michael Ramsey of Mathews.

A family service will be held later in the year.
