A funeral for James L. Cox, 89, of Ark, was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Petsworth Baptist Church, Gloucester. He died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012.
Mr. Cox was retired from Anheuser-Busch in Williamsburg and was the oldest member of James River Rod and Gun Club. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his daughters, Jean Thomas and Colleen Cox; a sister, Hilda Eubank; a brother, Herbert Cox; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Burial was at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Peninsula Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made to either Petsworth Baptist Church or to Mary Immaculate Hospital.
Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, was in charge of arrangements.
