James "Irving" Rilee, 75, of Gloucester, Va., passed away on May 1, 2012 at his home.
He was born in Gloucester County, and lived in the Pinero area his whole life. He was retired from civil service at Ft. Eustis after 20 years of service. He had previously worked for Phillips Oil and Gloucester Laundry. Mr. Rilee was a member of Olive Branch United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Susie Rilee; two brothers, Roland and Ellis Rilee; a sister, Mable Walton, and his parents, Julia and Woody Rilee.
He is survived by his daughter, Theresa Joyner and her husband Greg; his grandchildren, Lisa Freiermuth, Michael Joyner, and Victoria Joyner, and a great-grandson, Dylan Freiermuth, all of Gloucester.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-5:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012, at 2 p.m. in Olive Branch United Methodist church by the Rev. Rita Staul. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
