Jacqueline Kay Clark, of Gloucester, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014.
She was born and raised in Hampton, and graduated Hampton High School but was a Gloucester resident for many years. She retired from C&P Telephone Company in 1991 after 28 years of service. Following her retirement, Jackie earned a real estate license, and later, took a position with Gloucester County Codes and Compliance.
Jackie is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ryland “Jimmy” Clark III, and his son, Frank Clark and wife Diane and their children Kyle, Kristopher and Karson; sisters, Barbara Perkins, Millie Edwards, Burline Turner; son, Steve Lanning and wife Cindy and their children Corinne, Ben, and Sam; daughter, Vicky Poland and husband Mike, and their son Michael; son, Shawn Lanning and wife Beth and their children Ian and Lexi. Jackie was blessed with one great-grandson, William Poland. She was the daughter of the late Burlie and Louise Clark.
Jackie and Jimmy’s friends and family were always welcome in their home, and, in the Clark tradition, great food was always on hand! Like her own mother, Jackie was always happiest when she was surrounded by family, and that is how she passed peacefully from this world.
The family received friends at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, at 6 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 7 o’clock conducted by the Rev. Arthur L. Wolz Jr.
