Jack Wayne Webb, age 88, of Hayes, died Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Jack was born on September 2, 1935, to the late Mack Bernie and Mary Riddle Webb in Tennessee. Jack worked and retired as a steel iron worker. In his free time, he enjoyed saltwater fishing, camping, growing fresh vegetables in his garden, or doing anything that involved being outside. He also drove for NASCAR #22 at Richmond, Langley, and Moyock, N.C. He was a beloved “Pappaw” who will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his siblings, Bobbie Saylor, Gail Miller, and Steven Webb. Jack is survived by his wife, Deanna Webb; daughters, Lisa W. Strader (Brad) and Jackie Tipton (Sheryl); grandchildren, Kenny Strader (Jillian), and great-grandchildren, Kaden, Kayleigh, Ashley, Tasha, Rylee, and Sierra. He is also survived by his sisters, Sharon Stepp (David) and Sue Thelen; sister-in-law, Donna Webb, and a host of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, conducted by Pastor Robert Willis, at the Rosewell Memorial Gardens Cemetery Columbarium at 11 a.m. In memory of Jack, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 6350 Center Drive, Suite 102, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
