A graveside service for Jack Denton Ludwig Jr., 70, of Ashland and Gwynn’s Island, was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Woodland Cemetery in Ashland. He died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014.

He was the son of Linda Newman Ludwig and Jack Denton Ludwig.

He established J.D. Ludwig, Inc., specializing in water and sewer construction. He retired to Gwynn’s Island in 2006; shortly thereafter he decided to reestablish his former construction company. 

Survivors include his son, Jack Denton (J.D.) Ludwig III of Richmond, and sisters, Mary Ludwig Denny of Virginia Beach and Linda Ludwig Magovern of Ashland.
