Jack A. Clark of Gloucester, was born on Sept. 8, 1938, in Sanford, N.C.; he died Oct. 6, 2011.

He was a graduate of N.C. State University. He retired after 40 years of service as an electrical engineer/designer at Newport News Shipbuilding.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Brandt Clark; daughters, Celeste Lawton and Jennifer Baucom; seven grandchildren, and sister, Jerri Clark King.

A celebration of his life was held from 3-5 p.m. Monday at the home of his daughter, Jennifer.

Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, was in charge of arrangements.
