I believe Thanksgiving is finally over. Last Saturday night, Jim and I went out for pizza. Not that we don’t love Thanksgiving dishes, but after a few days of hot and cold turkey sandwiches with gravy and dressing, it’s time to sample some of the other food groups.
I have surprised myself this year and gotten a good handle on the holiday shopping. Jim and I have purchased most of the family gifts with just a few stocking stuffers to buy. Much of my online shopping time is now spent in looking at gardening tools and supplies and trying to decide if they are worth the money. I have bought a few clunkers over the years, like self-watering window boxes that ended up as mud-caked moss gardens and an oscillating sprinkler that neither oscillated nor sprinkled effectively.
