Mathews Outdoor Club held its first Islander Regatta on June 24, hosting 65 paddlers in a nine-mile circuit of Gwynn’s Island to coincide with the Gwynn’s Island Festival. The non-competitive paddling event was supported by the Milford Haven Coast Guard Station, Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 66 and private boats of Rob Love and Will Berg. The group has set a June 29, 2024 date for its next paddle, limited to 200 participants.
