The Gloucester-Mathews Gazette-Journal has welcomed an intern, who will be here for the next several months.Abby Johnson, who currently lives in Georgia, was born in New Jersey. Johnson is a military kid and has lived in places such as Alabama, Germany, Florida and Chile.
Johnson will receive her master of arts degree in creative writing from the University of College Cork in Ireland this March. She earned a bachelor of arts in English from Clemson University in South Carolina. Johnson is the niece of Gazette-Journal employee Regina Smith of Gloucester.
Johnson has always been good at writing and has a love for analyzing literature. She has had several pieces of her writing published and has had a lot of experience in the journalism industry. She has written for the Evening Echo at while at Cork and was a copy editor for The Chronicle while at Clemson. She loves travel and enjoys writing and creating vlogs about it.
